September Mosaic

Septetember was hard work!  I love purple and would so far as to say it's my favourite colour, but I have gone off it a bit after this month!  A week in Crete was very hard work and I managed to get two aeroplane headrests, one on the way out, one on the way home, some fabulously purple yoga bricks which rather irritatingly came out blue, the one picture I shot on my real camera rather than my phone was the best, the lovely bougainvillea flowers, some of my possessions (a cotton Etsy bag and my beach towel!) also rather desperately the end of a broom handle and missed one day all together.....

I think that a brown October will be significantly easier!

This is one of my oldest accessories, I bought it a million years ago while I was at school on a visit to the Chelsea Craft Fair.  I bought a matching hair clip at the same time.

The first of a purple September.  It's a book which was a very original birthday present, a flavour thesaurus, called imaginatively, The Flavour Thesaurus by Niki Segnit  with enough food combinations to keep the most enthusiastic chef going for ages.  If you like to cook, I can seriously reconnected having a look at a copy.

August Mosaic

It seems odd, I know to represent the month of high summer with dull old grey, but the basis of this project wasn't to really represent the months at all, it's just that sometimes it's seemed to work out that way.  I plan to have a brown October for obvious reasons.

The grey month has actually been the easiest so far, there appears to be grey everywhere, I even managed to find some beautiful grey mackerel for one night's picture.  I didn't think there would be grey food.  Oh, and some sunflower seeds too.

Here's the mosaic of all of August's pictures.

Onwards and upwards to a purple September which I predict as being the most difficult month so far!
